Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the research trends in the field of art therapy for single-parent families by analyzing a total of 109 papers, including 76 master's and doctoral theses published in Korea and 33 KCI-accredited academic papers. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the following six categories were investigated in this paper. The research results are art therapy by year, structured environment, research topic, research topic, research method, and treatment method. First, the research on art therapy for children from single-parent families started with 2 master's articles in 2002 and was expanded to 74 master's articles, 2 doctoral articles, and 33 academic theses by December 2021. Second, the study subjects were mainly school-age children whose mothers were the caregivers, and the main factor in single-parent families was divorce. Third, the research topics were mainly focused on identity development, communication and problem improvement. Fourth, most of the research methods applied qualitative research, and the ratio of single target art therapy was high in the research design for each area of ??art therapy. Fifth, art therapy intervention showed the highest among art therapy methods. Sixth, the structured environment was 'within 3 months', 'twice a week', '40-60 minutes treatment time', '11-15 sessions', and 'group therapy' in order. This thesis has academic significance in presenting basic data for the development of art therapy programs for children of single-parent families through research trend analysis and further suggesting the direction of development.
